Maya Addai
Maya has been playing rugby for the past 5 years, 3 of them with the Carleton University Raven’s Varsity Women’s Rugby Team where she is part of the team leadership group. She has also represented Canada with the Canada National team at the U20 level in 2019 and was selected again this past summer. Maya was recognized as the 2019 Ottawa Rugby Player of the Year and as a 1st Team All-Star in the RSEQ the past two seasons. As a leader on the team, she is a great mentor to younger players and have helped teach/coach newer players. She has also led community outreach projects where she would teach rugby to elementary school students as well as working with children with special needs. In addition to rugby, Maya has also played soccer for the past 10 years including the OSU competitive team where was selected as MVP in 2017.
