UPDATE – We are getting ready for our
winter 2024-25 NEIGHBOURHOOD RINKS!

Did you know that your neighbours volunteer and run 11 community ice rinks in nine locations in Bridlewood, Emerald Meadows, and Monahan Landing?

The BCA has the biggest contract with the City of Ottawa to prepare and maintain all the rinks in Bridlewood, Emerald Meadows, and Monahan Landing.

Our outdoor neighbourhood ice rinks can be found at each of the following locations:

Laura Dubois Park, Mattawa Park, Brian Parsons Park, Bluegrass Park, Huntsman Park, Meadowbreeze Park (Chris Neil Rink), Sawyer’s Meadow Park, Scisson’s Park, and Stonemeadow Park.

We never know what the weather will be like, but volunteer rink coordinators and volunteers ensure that the rink is properly prepared and maintained to allow the ice to set well for maximum enjoyment.

Each location has a rink coordinator for the 2024-25 season, but they need help! If you want to volunteer to help with your local rink, please let us know at pres@bridlewood.ca – we always expect the rinks to be heavily used during this winter season and we hope that more volunteers will step forward to help out.

So send an email to pres@bridlewood.ca with the subject “I WANT TO MAKE ICE AT (YOUR PARK HERE)!” and we will forward your email to the correct rink coordinator.

We are looking forward to the help of the Kanata 3rd Scouts again this year, and area happy to have the Cameron Highlander Cadets Core join us to help prepare rinks too.

Thank you to all who make these ice rinks amazing for our neighbours and families every year!

Thank you
