Hockey Day in Bridlewood is a call to the community to come on out and play some shinny with your neighbours. Come outside, enjoy the beautiful winter day, play a great and fun game, and meet your neighbours!
If you haven’t been out and experienced our expertly maintained neighbourhood rinks. Hockey day, and every day we enjoy our winter outdoor community rinks, it would not be possible without a small team of dedicated volunteers who work many hours to maintain all of the nine rinks in Bridlewood. (They can barely move after last weekend’s snowfall!)
If you see one of your rink maintainers, please give them a thank you and a pat on the back. We really appreciate everything they do!
It is a casual day – put you may see someone from the BCA board driving around to the five designed hockey rinks between 12 noon and 4:00pm, with some hot drinks and cookies. We are hoping to see you on the rink!
When: Sunday February 23, from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Where: Meadowbreeze, Huntsman, Mattawa, Bluegrass, and Brian Parsons Parks. The other four rinks remain open for skating.
Who can play?: Anyone from beginner to expert, young to old. This is about the community coming together to have fun playing Canada’s game (Because Team Canada proved, once again, that it is our game!).
Please bring your own equipment and please wear appropriate safety equipment!
