The UPTick project is hunting for ticks in Bridlewood!
University of Ottawa researchers from the INSIGHT Lab of the University of Ottawa are conducting the UPTick project on ticks and Lyme disease in several Ottawa neighbourhoods. The project aims to monitor and characterize the presence of tick populations and tick-borne disease transmission in areas of Findlay Creek, Blackburn Hamlet, Kanata and Carp over the next two years (2024-2025).
Bridlewood Community Association will hold a meeting in Eva James Community Centre at 7 pm on April 23rd for the team of INSIGHT Lab to share information about this project and other tick-related research studies they are conducting in Ottawa.
In addition, Dr. Lesley Smordin from the Bridlewood Animal Hospital will also talk about taking care of your pets.
