With all of the unusually warm weather so far this year, we have had only a small number of -10 to -15 C nights to build up our 9 rinks. There are good bases on most of our rinks, and three of them Shetland, Meadowbreeze, and Mattawa became borderline skateable just for today!
But sadly we will have to keep or rinks closed until we get at least two good cold weather days in a row, which means Dec 31 is a slim possibility for skating for some of our rinks, depending on how much damage needs to be repaired from this upcoming thaw and rain, and depending on how many volunteers are available to do at least five floods on each rink during Dec 29th and 30th.
