OFFICIAL UNVEILING OF BCA DESIGN CONTEST FOR TRANS CANADA TRAIL SIGN AT SHETLAND PARK ENTRANCE – SEPTEMBER 24th 2016 AT 9 AM
The winning entries for the Bridlewood Community Association’s design contest for the Trans Canada Trail Sign will be unveiled officially on Saturday September 24th at 9 am at the intersection of Shetland Park and the Trans Canada Trail. After years of neglect and graffiti, the Trans Canada Trail Sign has been given a new lease on life! This is a result of two local teens who won a design contest aimed at beautifying the sign and making the area more welcoming for residents and passersby. Over the summer, first-place winner Katelyn Ristau and runner-up Maaz Zaidi painted one side each of the sign with help and guidance from local artist Nicole Bélanger. The results are nothing short of spectacular.
Join us on September 24th to meet the young artists, along with Jean Hutcheon and Deb Sonego, members of the Design Contest Committe, BCA’s Trans Canada Trail Sign – 2016 Design Contest and Lorraine Pigeon, 1st Vice President, BCA. Also in attendance at the official unveiling will be representatives of the Trans Canada Trail and City Ward 23 Councillor Allan Hubley.
Light refreshments will be served after the unveiling ceremony.
